Terms of Service

Effective date: 18 July 2026

1. Who we are and how to accept these terms

PAntry ("the Service") is operated by Pantry App Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16550847) with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. By accessing or using PAntry, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service.

2. Age requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use PAntry. To buy a subscription you must be at least 16, or have it taken out for you by a parent or guardian through their own app store account.

3. What PAntry does

PAntry is a mobile app that helps you track what is in your kitchen, suggests recipes built from the ingredients you already have, and helps with meal plans, shopping lists and ingredient swaps around your dietary preferences.

4. Your account

Some features need an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has gained access to it.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you add to the Service, such as your pantry items and preferences. By adding content, you grant us a licence to store, use and display it only as far as we need to in order to provide the Service to you. Recipes and suggestions the Service generates for you are yours to use for your own cooking.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break any laws or regulations
  • Infringe anyone else's rights
  • Upload harmful or malicious content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with the proper working of the Service

7. Subscriptions, payment and refunds

PAntry is free to download with a starter allowance. Paid plans unlock higher limits. Current plans and prices are shown in the app and on our website before you buy, and at the point of purchase. Subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms; manage or cancel a subscription, or request a refund, in your store account. Your statutory rights, including any right to cancel, are not affected. Deleting your PAntry account does not cancel an active store subscription. Plans described as unlimited are subject to fair usage: generous daily caps, set well above typical household cooking, that protect the Service from abuse and automated use. If you reach a cap, your access to that feature resumes the following day.

8. Recipe and dietary suggestions

Recipes, suggestions and any dietary information are generated automatically and are for general guidance only. They can contain mistakes. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially for allergies, and speak to a qualified healthcare professional about any dietary restrictions or health conditions. You are responsible for deciding whether a dish is safe and suitable for you.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, along with its content, features and design, belongs to Pantry App Ltd and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

10. Availability and your statutory rights

We work hard to keep PAntry running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. If you have paid for digital content, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says it must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and nothing in these Terms reduces those rights or any other rights the law gives you as a consumer.

11. Our liability to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms, or for business losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50 if you have paid nothing.

12. Ending your use of PAntry

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, and will give you notice where it is reasonable to do so.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security or product reasons. If a change is significant, we will give you at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the Service and delete your account before the change applies; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. App store terms

If you downloaded PAntry from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to your use of the app. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service and have no obligation to support it. Where you use an Apple device, Apple may enforce these Terms as a third party beneficiary.

15. Other important terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example if our business is sold, and will tell you if that happens; your rights are not affected. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. Except for Apple as described above, these Terms do not give any rights to anyone other than you and us.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you can bring any dispute in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and can also bring a dispute in your local courts.
