About

There are two of us. We're married.

PAntry is built by Kay and Andy, a husband-and-wife team working from a cottage in Scotland. Plus Sally, a staffy with no interest in the product roadmap.

Kay spent years as a playwright, then wrote The Mostly Indian Batch Cookbook, then worked in marketing, which is an unusual route to founding an app but does mean she has strong opinions about both dinner and how to talk about it. Her dad is British Asian and her mum was a home economist, so food has played a huge part in her life from the start.

Andy has been building software for fifteen years and studied AI at university back before it was cool, which means when Kay said 'why can't something just look at the fridge and tell me what to cook,' he made the mistake of saying 'actually, it could.'

That conversation became PAntry. We built it with the help of dozens of real households who told us the hardest part of dinner isn't the cooking, it's the deciding. We're a two-person team working from our cottage in Scotland. No office, no investors, nobody between you and us.

Email us at hello@pantry-app.co.uk and one of us reads it, usually while the other one is cooking.

A cookbook author, an AI developer, and a supervising staffy.

Built in a Scottish cottage. Reply to us and we read it.
